National Profile for Career Development Professionals now available

8/27/2021

Originally shared 2021-08-05 by email

The National Profile is a subset of the full Competency Framework for CDPs and delineates the competencies of a client-facing generalist who delivers service in a range of contexts to a diverse clientele. The Profile can be used by training providers to update and refine offerings, by employers to inform recruitment and the development of learning plans, and by CDPs in their own professional development and growth. Once a national certification program is launched, the National Profile will also underpin the requirements associated with the national Certified Career Development Professional (CCDP) designation. Thank you to all the brilliant CDPs across Canada whose expertise, experience, and voices are imbued in the National Profile. http://ccdp-pcdc.ca/en/

The "Summary of Competencies" word file has the text of pp 9-10 of the 254 page National Competency Profile document.  This information is also presented as an infographic on pp 11-12. Download the National Profile -ccdp-pcdc.ca/en/Competency_Profile_CDP.pdf
